Every now and then a kid rapper breaks through and enjoys some short term novelty success before getting swept away by the next big thing, and then there are those who come through, sweep the nation, and make history. Lil' Roge is determines to be the latter. St.Louis Born Roderick Leonard Jr. a.k.a. Lil' Roge knew that he wanted to be a star at only three years old. Raised in the heart of St.Louis, where violence and crime are number one in the country, Lil' Roge would not become a statistic, he would overcome the odds, and shine like the star he is. He began his road to stardom in church as the youngest child in the children's choir. In Kindergarten Lil' Roge decided that he wanted to be a rapper, and developed his style quite impressively by the time he began first grade. Simultaneously, Lil' Roge loved school. He has always been smart in school and advanced in his school work and put that same ambition into his music.

His parents, Tracy Wade and Roderick Leonard, knew that he was special when he randomly began making his own rap songs while other little boys spent their leisure time playing with toys and playing various activities outside. Lil' Roge didn’t find interests in sports or toys, he found pleasure in rapping. Surrounding supporters of Lil' Roge helped him right songs and he had the amazing ability to memorize them in less than a day. He found joy in front of a camera. He'd always say to his grandmother, "Granny, are you ready? It's time to have my video show!" Each time his grandmother put him in front of a camera, he instantly began rapping and dancing.

Not long after Lil' Roge's 'video shows" transformed into stage shows for large audiences. This six year old was not at all intimidated. He did his first shows at local universities and clubs. He then began opening shows for groups like Crime Mob and D4L. Already a local star, his family later moved to Atlanta, Georgia for further progression of his music. Lil' Roge received a cameo in D4L's video, "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" and in Brooke Valentine’s video entitled "Girl Fight".

Lil' Roge has the stature of a eight year old, but the mind and will power of an adult. This sure fire combination creates an anticipated energy, making you wonder when his single goes triple platinum.
